The brief: The clients needed a practical, multi-purpose garden room that would primarily serve as a home office and occasionally as guest accommodation. Interior: Inside, white-painted grooved MDF boards finish the walls and ceiling, creating a clean, bright backdrop. Matching skirting boards and white switches keep the design cohesive, while light oak laminate flooring adds warmth. Exterior: The front elevation is finished with vertical cedar cladding, adding natural character, while the other three sides are clad in maintenance-free metal boards. The symmetrical front layout – a central French door flanked by two tilt-and-turn windows – floods the space with natural light. Anthracite frames, matching U-shaped roof trim, and up-and-down wall lights complete the contemporary look.
