The Brief: This project was created for a returning client. The aim was to design a light-filled, comfortable workspace positioned to make the most of the garden’s stunning views. The building needed to feel both luxurious and comfortable, offering plenty of space for focused work, relaxation and storage, all while complementing the natural surroundings.

Interior: Inside, the office is bright, warm and beautifully detailed with white-painted walls and the same timber cladding used on the exterior roof overhang included on the interior ceiling for a seamless transition. The layout comfortably accommodates a large desk, a sofa and a wood burner, making it an inviting place to work year-round. Discreet doors on both sides lead to compact storage rooms with generous shelving, keeping the interior tidy and organised.

Exterior: Inspired by a contemporary log-cabin aesthetic, the building combines warmth and simplicity with refined detailing. The exterior and the extended overhang are finished in redwood cladding for a cohesive, natural look. Large areas of glazing wrap the office in light and provide uninterrupted views across the garden, helping the workspace feel deeply connected with its surroundings. A timber deck extends the usable area outdoors.

The result: A luxurious, serene garden office that blends comfort, craftsmanship and nature. The combination of glazing, warm materials and smart storage creates a workspace that is both striking and practical – a beautiful retreat perfectly suited to working, thinking and unwinding.
